Benjamin won the last time they faced St. Edward and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Buccaneers walked away with a 59-46 victory over the Pirates. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cody Simmonds, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 13 points and six assists. Cole Register was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Benjamin has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for St. Edward's, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Benjamin will host Morningside Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Edward's, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln Park Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
