Volleyball Recap: Puxico Takes a Loss

If Puxico was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kelly on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Puxico fell 3-1 to St. Vincent on Monday. Puxico was not able to make up for their loss to St. Vincent from their previous meeting back in September of 2020.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-10, 25-15.

St. Vincent was led to victory by Aubrey Emmendorfer and Callie Schnurbusch. Emmendorfer had 12 digs, while Schnurbusch had 32 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Schnurbusch has posted since back in September.

Puxico has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for St. Vincent, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-6-2.

Puxico does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Vincent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Woodland on the 28th.
