Baseball Game Preview: Lovett Lions vs. Harrison Hoyas

The Lovett Lions will square off against the Harrison Hoyas at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lovett comes in on 18 and Harrison on three.

Last Friday, Lovett made easy work of Hapeville Charter and carried off an 11-1 win. Considering the Lions have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Harrison got the win against Chapel Hill on Friday by a conclusive 13-4.

Lovett pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Harrison, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Lovett suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Harrison when the teams last played back in February of 2019. Can Lovett avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
