Basketball Recap: Carlson Takes a Loss

Carlson lost against Allen Park back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carlson Marauders fell 61-50 to the Allen Park Jaguars. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Carlson lost, don't look at Austin Saavedra. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds gave Saavedra a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Justin Hird, who posted eight points.

Carlson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Allen Park, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlson will take on Riverview in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carlson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season. As for Allen Park, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Edsel Ford at 7:00 p.m. Allen Park has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three matchups.
