Baseball Game Preview: Sikeston Bulldogs vs. Kennett Indians

The Sikeston Bulldogs will face off against the Kennett Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kennett is facing Sikeston at the wrong time: Sikeston suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They lost 16-8 to the Hunter Dragons.

Meanwhile, Kennett came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Kennett's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Sikeston, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Sikeston skirted past Kennett 8-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
