Volleyball Recap: Firestone Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Firestone can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish on Tuesday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Irish earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Elijah Myers paced Firestone's offense, picking up 18 kills. Myers got some help from Rohan Gould and his 22 assists. Myers was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-9.

Firestone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they will take on Springfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
