Football Recap: Simsbury Comes Up Short

Simsbury extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They fell 38-26 to the Hall Titans. The Trojans were down 31-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

As for Hall, they now have a winning record of 2-1. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Simsbury: they've now won four in a row.

Hall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Scher led the charge by picking up 80 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Hussey, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

Coming up, Simsbury will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against South Windsor at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southington at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
