Baseball Recap: Harrison County Takes a Loss

Harrison County extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 28-5-1 in the process. They came up short against the Bullitt East Chargers, falling 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Thorobreds/Fillies have suffered since March 20, 2024.

As for Bullitt East, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.

For Bullitt East's part, not much got past Garrison Miller, who gave up just six hits to keep Harrison County off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bradley Myers, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Hunter Holland was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison County will welcome Campbell County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bullitt East, they will host Lexington Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
