Recap: Parkland Mustangs vs. Glenn Bobcats

The Parkland Mustangs's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took down Glenn 65-47. That looming 65-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Parkland yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brock Jackson, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Moore, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Zyire Murphy and Kendrick Hines certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Murphy scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Hines scored ten points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Murphy has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Noni Jones, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Parkland now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Glenn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Parkland will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. West Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Parkland likes a good challenge. As for Glenn, they will head out on the road to face off against Reagan at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Reagan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Glenn in North Carolina (Reagan is ranked 130th, while Glenn is ranked 328th).
