Baseball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

Edgewood came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots, falling 13-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 4-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Jaylin Luedemann made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Nolan Hudson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, their record now sits at 6-1.

Coming up, Edgewood will face off against Indian Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bloomington South at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
