Softball Recap: West Central Takes a Loss

If West Central was riding high fresh off their 16-4 takedown of North White on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans lost 7-1 to the South Central Satellites on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Satellites: they've now lost eight in a row.

West Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyra Leman, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Sydney Mellon also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

West Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for South Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

West Central has already played their next contest (against Calumet Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Central, they will venture away from home to take on Morgan Township at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Satellites' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
