Soccer Game Preview: Daniel vs. Travelers Rest

The Daniel Lions will challenge the Travelers Rest Devildogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Daniel will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.

Daniel's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Berea 8-0. Daniel's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last ten contests.

Their offense was hitting Berea from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Riley Grogan led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, while the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Travelers Rest who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Devildogs got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Greer's two.

Travelers Rest's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Daniel, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.

Everything went Daniel's way against Travelers Rest in their previous matchup back in March, as Daniel made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Devildogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
