Soccer Game Preview: Fairland vs. Wheelersburg

Fairland is 0-5 against Wheelersburg since September of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Dragons will take on the Pirates in a tournament on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Fairland needed a bit of extra time to put away Waverly. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 4-3. That's two games straight that Fairland have won by just one goal.

They hit Waverly with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Robinson Nolasco, Kyle Salyer, Liam Shook, and Aydin Davis.

Meanwhile, Wheelersburg put another one in the bag last Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. Everything went their way against South Webster as they made off with a 4-1 victory. Considering Wheelersburg have won 11 contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wheelersburg's win bumped their record up to 14-0-2. As for Fairland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Fairland suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Wheelersburg when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
