Volleyball Recap: Haxtun's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Haxtun had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kimball Longhorns on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Fightin' Bulldogs have posted since August 23rd.

Haxtun had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 19-25, 25-12, 25-16, 15-13.

Haxtun's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Kimball, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Haxtun wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Hi-Plains on the 17th. As for Kimball, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Perkins County on the 18th.
