Baseball Game Preview: Overland Trailblazers vs. Hinkley Thunder

The Overland Trailblazers will face off against the Hinkley Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Overland and four for Hinkley.

Overland came up short against Lincoln on Friday, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Trailblazers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Ruben Luna made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one double.

Meanwhile, Hinkley scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 27-3 to Gateway. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Thunder have suffered against the Olympians since April 7, 2015.

Overland's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hinkley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Overland took their win against Hinkley when the teams last played back in March of 2017 by a conclusive 17-2. Does Overland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hinkley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
