Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was the 48-40 winner over Maquoketa Valley when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Warriors were dealt a 52-15 defeat at the hands of the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats on Thursday. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Central dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Maquoketa Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-37 victory against Clayton-Ridge on the 10th. As for Maquoketa Valley, they will square off against Marquette at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
