Volleyball Game Preview: Jal Panthers vs. Texico Wolverines

Jal is 0-3 against Texico since October of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Texico will be up against a hot Jal team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Panthers' way against Eunice on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted against the Cardinals since August 25, 2023.

Jal didn't let Eunice take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Texico got the win against Hagerman on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Texico got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 31-29, 25-3, 25-9.

Jal's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Texico, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
