Gray Collegiate Academy came tearing into Wednesday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. For the War Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Gray Collegiate Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 25-18, 25-15.

Courtney Burgess paced Gray Collegiate Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Burgess got some help from Colby Branham and her 19 assists. Branham also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sadie Williamson, racking up four apiece.

Gray Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Gray Collegiate Academy will challenge Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The War Eagles are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they will take on Cardinal Newman at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
