Soccer Recap: St. Francis Takes a Loss

St. Francis entered their game against Loyola on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The St. Francis Golden Knights lost 6-1 to the Loyola Cubs. While losing is never fun, the Golden Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Cubs are ranked ninth).

This is the second loss in a row for St. Francis and nudges their season record down to 7-4-3. As for Loyola, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-0-3.

St. Francis will challenge Notre Dame (SO) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Loyola has already played their next match (against Bishop Alemany), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
