Football Recap: Northshore Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Northshore made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Chalmette, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Owls by a score of 23-20 on Friday. While the Panthers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Owls 13-6.

Breez Wilson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 80 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 178 yards and one touchdown on only 14 passes for Chalmette. Wilson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Owls' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. 86 of Wilson's passing yards were hauled in by Rashawn Bangham, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Northshore's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Chalmette, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Northshore wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 38-14 defeat against St. Paul's on the 24th. As for Chalmette, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-7 victory against Fontainebleau on the 24th.
