Basketball Recap: Biggs Beats Live Oak for Their Third Straight Victory

Biggs hadn't done well against Live Oak recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Biggs Wolverines took down the Live Oak Lions 65-46. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 60-35 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Biggs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hunter Seipert, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 16 points and six assists. Seipert is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Brady Smith was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten assists.

The win was the third in a row for Biggs, bringing their record for this year to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Live Oak, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-5.

Biggs will square off against Quincy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Live Oak, they will challenge Orland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
