Soccer Game Preview: Lodi vs. St. Mary's

Lodi is 0-10 against St. Mary since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Lodi Flames will head out to face off against the St. Mary's Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lodi's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over West.

Sophie Sloan and Jocelyn Maldonado scored both of Lodi's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, St. Mary's brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They put the hurt on Lincoln with a sharp 4-1 win on Wednesday. That looming 4-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rams yet this season.

Lodi now has a winning record of 5-4-3. As for St. Mary's, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Lodi came up short against St. Mary's in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Lodi avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
