Round Mountain is 10-0 against Tonopah since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Both teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Round Mountain's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Tonopah has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Round Mountain beat Indian Springs 40-34.

Round Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Bullington, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Keiran Swafford, who scored ten points.

Tonopah suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 52-22 loss at the hands of Lone Pine. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Tonopah came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 109th in Nevada, while Lone Pine is ranked 1100th in California).

Round Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Tonopah, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Round Mountain strolled past Tonopah when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 39-22. Will Round Mountain repeat their success, or does Tonopah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
