Incarnate Word Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past the Kaufer Seahawks 11-0. Considering the Angels have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Arisela Perez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also stole a stolen base, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addie Aleman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Bridy McDavid, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Incarnate Word Academy's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Kaufer, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Incarnate Word Academy will take on Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kaufer, they will challenge Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaufer has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
