The King Panthers will take on the Shadow Creek Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
King is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Clear Falls, posting a 56-7 victory. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Knights are ranked 411th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Timothy Potts was his usual excellent self, throwing for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also rushing for 33 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Antwon Sanders helped out on the ground, rushing for 88 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
King didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as My'Kah Laster, Shelton Cavitt, and Enoch Bell picked up one apiece. King got some further help from Dominick Toulon: he picked up four sacks and made seven total tackles.
Meanwhile, Shadow Creek waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Broncos 57-13.
Shadow Creek's win came from a few key players King will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was B.J. LaFell, who rushed for 99 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavis Coleman, who threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Shadow Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Shadow Creek, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jaylen Addai, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
King's record now sits at 9-2. As for Shadow Creek, their record is now 8-3.
King strolled past Shadow Creek when the teams last played back in November of 2021 by a score of 52-34. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Sharks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
