Recap: Roosevelt Teddies vs. Burnsville Blaze
The Roosevelt Teddies waltzed into Friday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on Burnsville with a sharp 75-55 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Roosevelt's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Wren, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Wren continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cady Davis, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Roosevelt now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Burnsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Roosevelt will head out on the road to face off against Patrick Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burnsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shakopee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Minnesota (Shakopee is ranked 184th, while Burnsville is ranked 199th).
