Football Recap: Northfield Beats Skyline for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Northfield walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Skyline Falcons with a sharp 38-15 win on Friday. The Nighthawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Although Skyline took the loss, they still got scores from Diego Kheng and Servando Morales.

The victory (which was Northfield's eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.5 points on average over those games. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Northfield will square off against Pueblo West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Nighthawks 14.4, the Cyclones 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
