Basketball Game Preview: Ponte Vedra Sharks vs. Nease Panthers + How To Watch

Ponte Vedra has gone 8-2 against Nease recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Sharks will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, everything came up roses for Ponte Vedra against Bartram Trail as the team secured a 70-35 win. The Sharks have beaten the Bears the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bears has come to flipping the script.

Maddox Palmer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6-for-11 en route to 20 points along with six boards and three steals. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Tyler Kroog was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Ponte Vedra smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

While Nease didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down Paxon School For Advanced Studies 58-43 on Tuesday.

Nease's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Ponte Vedra, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Ponte Vedra was able to grind out a solid victory over Nease when the teams last played back in January, winning 61-48. Do the Sharks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
