The Rockbridge Academy Scots will face off against the Delaware Valley Classical Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockbridge Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
Rockbridge Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Greater Grace Christian Academy 23-0. Winning may never get old, but the Scots sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Elliott Tessneer and John Ault were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Tessneer pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ault kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Tessneer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Tessneer got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double, while Ault got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Rockbridge Academy is undefeated when Tessneer posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Rockbridge Academy got a massive performance out of William Schingeck, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Schingeck's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Parlette, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Rockbridge Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .646. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Titans on Thursday. Delaware Valley Classical came up short against Tome, falling 13-5. Delaware Valley Classical has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jonathan Garber put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Garber was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Mason Jones and Auri Bellanca stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jones got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Bellanca got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Delaware Valley Classical's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rockbridge Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rockbridge Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Delaware Valley Classical struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
