Volleyball Recap: Neenah Rockets vs. Kimberly Papermakers

Neenah lost against Kimberly back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rockets fell just short of the Papermakers by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Neenah sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 15-25, 15-10.

Eli Yoder paced Neenah's offense, picking up 11 kills. Yoder got some help from Cam Diekfuss and his 19 assists. Diekfuss was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Ian Van Hammond, who had 11 digs.

Neenah's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-13. As for Kimberly, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-8.

Coincidentally, Neenah and Kimberly will both be playing Arrowhead the next time they take the court. The Papermakers will host the Warhawks at 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, while the Rockets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
