Soccer Recap: Diboll Comes Up Short

Diboll was the 2-1 winner over New Waverly when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Diboll Lumberjacks came up short against the New Waverly Bulldogs on Friday, falling 9-5. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Lumberjacks were already down 5-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Diboll and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for New Waverly, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Diboll will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against San Augustine at 3:30 p.m. As for New Waverly, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sealy at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th. New Waverly is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.7 goals per game this season.
