Basketball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

Clinton Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-34 victory over the Center Place Golden Eagles. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won four games in a row dating back to last season.

Clinton Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leo Prus, who went 8-for-20 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Prus has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Parker Lowe, who earned 12 points and five steals.

Center Place is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clinton Christian Academy will square off against rival Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Center Place is set to challenge their familiar foe El Dorado Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
