Volleyball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Providence Christian Academy won the last time they faced Prince Avenue Christian and Sydney Cook did her part to make sure it happened again. The Storm walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wolverines on Monday for which the team can thank Cook, who had 22 assists and 11 digs. She has been hot, having posted 22 or more assists the last five times she's played.

While Providence Christian Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Prince Avenue Christian scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Prince Avenue Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brenna Smith had ten digs and one assist.

Providence Christian Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 35-9. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-22 record this season.

Coincidentally, Providence Christian Academy and Prince Avenue Christian will both be playing Athens Academy the next time they take the court. The Storm will head out to face the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
