Basketball Game Preview: Ralston Rams vs. Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride

Ralston is 2-8 against Roncalli Catholic since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Ralston Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride at 7:15 p.m.

Ralston is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Platteview on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ralston had to suffer through a 61-27 loss at the hands of Platteview. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Trojans are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, Roncalli Catholic escaped with a win on Friday against Gross Catholic by the margin of a single free throw, 67-66. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crimson Pride.

Ralston's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Roncalli Catholic, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Ralston was taken down by Roncalli Catholic 82-42 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ralston was down 46-21.
