Volleyball Recap: Winona Wildcats vs. Leopold Wildcats

Leopold typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Winona proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a set and slipped past Leopold 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Winona has posted since November 2, 2024.

Winona took Leopold into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-19, 25-11, 16-25, 15-11.

Taylor Williams paced Winona's offense, picking up 25 kills. Williams got some help from Lexi Lindsey and her 55 assists. Sophie Kile and Bristol Lay kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
