Football Game Preview: Great Bend Panthers vs. Hays Indians + Official Tickets

The Great Bend Panthers will challenge the Hays Indians on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Great Bend comes in on ten and Hays on three.

Great Bend is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Bishop Carroll 49-7. Considering the Panthers have won nine matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Great Bend to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daxton Minton, who rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Minton a new career-high. Ian Premer was in the mix as well, providing Great Bend with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Great Bend was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 407 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Hays made easy work of Hutchinson on Friday and carried off a 27-6 victory. The Indians are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth contest they've won by 20+ points this season.

Great Bend better keep an eye on Brody Hageman. He was instrumental in Hays' win, rushing for 177 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Prediger, who threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes.

Hays didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Thompson and Nicholas Cisneros.

Great Bend's record now sits at 10-0. As for Hays, their record is now 8-2.
