Hamilton Southeastern had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Lawrence North Wildcats to the tune of 57-26 on Thursday. The Royals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since January 24th (when they won 67-33).

Hamilton Southeastern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayla Stidham led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Piper Brinley was another key player, shooting 60% from the field to rack up 15 points and four steals.

Hamilton Southeastern was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence North only posted one.

Despite the loss, Lawrence North saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jordyn Suggs posted eight points along with six boards and three steals.

Hamilton Southeastern has already played their next matchup, a 54-32 victory against Ben Davis on the 8th. As for Lawrence North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-41 defeat against Silver Creek on the 8th.
