Volleyball Recap: Northside Falls Short Against Ranked Fayetteville

Northside faced Fayetteville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Northside was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 25-13.

Despite the loss, Northside still got an impressive performance from Eden Fields, who had 11 digs. Fields has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Northside dropped their record down to 8-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Fayetteville, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Northside has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Gravette on the 27th. As for Fayetteville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Eldon on the 27th.
