If Sanger was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fresno Christian on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Apaches fell just short of the Pitman Pride by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Apaches' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Sanger started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Pitman found their leader in sophomore Jahnvi Dhillon, who had 17 digs and one assist.

Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Pitman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Sanger will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madera at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Pitman, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Arroyo Grande on the 12th.
