Baseball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Sandia Prep Sundevils, falling 17-6. If the Demons were looking for revenge after losing 21-0 to the Sundevils when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dexter's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Sandia Prep, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8.

Coming up, Dexter will head out to challenge Tularosa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandia Prep, they will host New Mexico Military Institute at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sundevils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
