2A Conference 10 recap November 13, 2013
North Rowan extended the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 10 this week by beating Salisbury, 41-0. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
The Hornets lost to North Rowan 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
East Davidson's dynamic duo of Austin Wallace and Michael Ramos proved tough for West Davidson to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wallace threw for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns and Ramos had 149 yards receiving. Tyler Rhodes helped East Davidson's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 32 yards.
Jareke Chambers provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Joe Nixon's team bested Salisbury. Chambers' key target this week was Darrell Taylor, who caught 4 passes for 106 yards.
Chambers was a beast in the backfield as the Cavaliers topped Ryan Crowder's team.
The Dragons' Graham Shoaf and Zach Queen led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Shoaf has thrown for 1,535 yards this season, while Queen has 41 catches for 717 yards. Chambers from North Rowan leads the league in rushing with 1,700 yards.
In 201 carries Kyle Smith has accumulated 996 yard this year.
The Cavaliers led the league in scoring this week by notching 41 points on the Hornets. Alexis Archie threw for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.
