Football Recap: Winslow Bulldogs vs. Page Sand Devils

Winslow had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it four. They were outmatched by the Page Sand Devils and fell 45-6. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of James Mendoza, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

As for Page, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.6 points on average over those games.

Joseph Benally continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 106 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, while also throwing for 104 yards and two touchdowns. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August. Caleb Nix was another key player, gaining 89 total yards and two touchdowns.
