Volleyball Game Preview: Nueva Esperanza vs. First Philadelphia Prep Eagles

After both having extra time off, Nueva Esperanza and the First Philadelphia Prep Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Nueva Esperanza is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Tacony Academy Charter just ended the team's five-match winning streak last Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. While Nueva Esperanza didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Tacony Academy Charter 25-15 in the first set.

Nueva Esperanza actually scored more points across those five sets (101-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-20, 26-24, 15-25, 15-7.

Meanwhile, First Philadelphia Prep got the win against Freire Charter on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

First Philadelphia Prep's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Nueva Esperanza, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
