Baseball Preview: North Sanpete Hawks vs. Carbon Dinos

North Sanpete saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andy Allred, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Preston Madsen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, North Sanpete didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with eight strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only tossed four.

Meanwhile, Carbon scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on Richfield with a sharp 15-5 win. Considering Carbon has won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Maizen Prichard was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Vigil, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

North Sanpete's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Carbon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
