Basketball Recap: Admiral Farragut Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Admiral Farragut hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder by a score of 36-28 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 27-19 back in January.

Out-of-Door Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bertie Bryson, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds. Bryson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Gaby Bichanich was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Admiral Farragut's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.

Admiral Farragut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they will face off against St. Petersburg Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. St. Petersburg Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Out-of-Door Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
