Volleyball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Falcons vs. St. John XXIII Lions
Incarnate Word Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the St. John XXIII Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 6th.
The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-15.
St. John XXIII's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoe Ramirez, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Ramirez has posted over her last six matchups. Reagan Butler was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.
Incarnate Word Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for St. John XXIII, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-20.
As of now, neither Incarnate Word Academy nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
