Baseball Recap: Tamaqua Comes Up Short

Tamaqua was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Schuylkill Spartans. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Tamaqua's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for North Schuylkill, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tamaqua is set to square off against their familiar foe Tri-Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Schuylkill will face off against rival Pottsville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
