Volleyball Recap: Garfield Falls Short of Mount Olive in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Garfield can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Mount Olive Marauders on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Boilermakers have suffered since October 9th.

Genessa Baltazar had a dynamite game For Mount Olive., getting 18 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Baltazar has posted since back in September of 2024. Zoey Foy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Garfield has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Mount Olive, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5.

As of now, neither Garfield nor the Marauders have any future games scheduled.
