Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Metropolitan Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Indianapolis Metropolitan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 victory over the Park Tudor Panthers on Friday. This was payback for the Pumas, who suffered an 82-48 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Metropolitan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Petty, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. With that strong performance, Petty is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kwame Hawkins, who went 6 for 8 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Indianapolis Metropolitan pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.6 points per game. As for Park Tudor, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Indianapolis Metropolitan and Park Tudor could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Indianapolis Metropolitan will square off against Ben Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 80 places (90 vs. 10). Similarly, Park Tudor (ranked 237th) will meet Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter (ranked 100th) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
