Football Recap: Belle Vernon Falls Despite Big Games from Anthony Dicenzo and Chace Petrosky + How To Watch

Belle Vernon had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it four. They fell 14-10 to the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars. Despite 105 more yards than the Jaguars, the Leopards couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Chace Petrosky and Anthony Dicenzo certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Petrosky gained 150 total yards, while Dicenzo picked up 107 receiving yards and one TD. Dicenzo's longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards.

As for Thomas Jefferson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 24 points in those games.

It was another big night for Tyler Eber, who rushed for 126 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

Looking ahead, Belle Vernon will square off against Chartiers Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ringgold at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
